Dear Jack,
Last year, Survival International’s supporters on five continents ran thousands of miles in solidarity with Indigenous peoples. We were joined by people from all corners of the world, from Iran to Colombia, New Zealand to South Africa – a powerful illustration of just how global the movement for tribal peoples’ rights now is.

But the threats that Indigenous peoples face are also global: across the world, they suffer land theft, systemic racism and constant violations of their rights by governments, corporations, loggers, miners and ranchers. However, as the challenges they face intensify, so does our fight.

If you’d like to get involved to raise awareness of the struggles that tribal communities face, and vital funds for Survival’s work in partnership with Indigenous peoples, join us in taking part in our global virtual race, Run For Survival. From May 27-29, we’re taking to the streets to run together for tribal peoples, for nature, and for all humanity.

Over the course of the weekend, you can run a 5k, 10k or half marathon, or have a Move-a-Thon. This means you can move in any way that feels right for you - you could organize a wheelchair basketball tournament, a dance-a-thon, or a new gym challenge. Sitting or standing, walking or sprinting, we would love for you to join our global movement towards a future where Indigenous peoples are respected, and their rights restored.
