I know how difficult it’s been adjusting to the recent soaring gas prices, folks.

They’re creating unnecessary burdens on working families and we must address it.

Not only is our dependence damaging for the economy, but for our planet. Investing in clean energy and green technologies is critical to fighting climate change and preventing future financial hardships.

However, Republicans in Congress don’t want to make the switch to renewable energy sources because their pockets are lined by special interests.

As long as oil companies continue to fund their campaigns, we won’t pass the reforms we desperately need to provide families with clean, cheap energy.

I’ve been a staunch advocate for clean energy throughout my time in Congress and I remain committed to lowering emissions.
