Ginni Thomas is well known as the wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas. She's also becoming more and more known as a prominent seditionist. But you may not know that she is also serving a five-year term on the Library of Congress Trust Fund Board, appointed in May 2020 by Donald Trump. Sign the petition to tell President Biden that she should not hold this position after her role in attempts to overturn the 2020 presidential election.
Her role in the January 6th insurrection and egregious attacks on democracy make it clear that she should be removed immediately. Thomas pushed White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows to take steps to overturn the 2020 election results, and has perpetuated unfounded claims that Trump won the election. Thomas admitted she attended the “Stop the Steal” rally and voiced support for the insurrectionists on social media.
Thomas’s role on the Trust Fund Board allows her to oversee $200 million in donations to the Library and help determine the Library’s investment policy. This is not a role she should have after her efforts to undermine American democracy.
Sign on and tell President Biden to remove Ginni Thomas from the Library of Congress Trust Fund Board. It is clear from her actions that she is unfit for any role of public trust.
