Friend,

18 states have successfully legalized recreational cannabis, and 39 allow medical cannabis, but cannabis is still illegal at the federal level. This 4/20, we must call on President Biden to finally legalize cannabis at the federal level and expunge past records.

As much as we love to see progress in the cannabis community, communities of color still disproportionately face barriers to opportunity caused by cannabis-related arrests and convictions. We need to put an end to the injustice of cannabis-related incarcerations.

There is still much work to do in order to rectify the many decades of racist policies that target communities of color throughout the nation.

Take action: Tell Biden to legalize cannabis at the federal level and expunge the records of cannabis-related arrests.

By expunging cannabis-related convictions, we not only open the door to those who were either wrongfully convicted or charged, but also provide the new chance of life that Biden promised on the campaign trail. It’s time to hold him accountable.
