On Friday, April 29 at 1pm ET join A New Deal for Youth Changemakers as we share the New Deal for Youth Policy Platform and Demands and unveil our Legislative Agenda.

A New Deal for Youth holistically advances youth justice by developing policies for youth, by youth. Our new ideas offer a more youthful view and a fresh perspective that will push conversation and ideas forward. We bring ideas to the table that are impacting future generations and need immediate attention. And we believe our government should be setting youth up for success.

On Friday, April 29 you will:

  • Meet Changemakers from across the U.S. as they discuss our Demands and the urgency of investing in policies that uplift youth voices and needs;
  • Learn about our ND4Y Legislative Agenda;
  • Enjoy creativity and inspiration from our Changemakers; and
  • Find out about how you can get involved and join the movement!

Speakers:

  • Luis J. Hernandez, National Director of Youth Campaigns and Leadership, The Gathering for Justice; Changemaker, A New Deal for Youth
  • Anthony Dickey, Changemaker, A New Deal for Youth
  • Whitney Lee, Director, Neurodiverse Utah; Changemaker, A New Deal for Youth

The New Deal for Youth Policy Platform advances radical and interconnected policy ideas that transform current systems, while also centering racial, gender, and social justice. Our policies seek to redefine whose expertise, experiences, and systems of knowledge are valued, understanding that young people not only deserve a seat at the decision-making table, but can also shake the table and create the menu. We believe in actively combatting classist and racist systems, championing models that empower communities and amplifying the voices of young people as decision-makers in the future of our greater society.
