Dear John,

This Earth Week we continue organizing to resource frontline community
solutions and those communities forging Just Transitions away from the dig,
burn, dump economy to more regenerative and just ones.

[3]

TOMORROW (THURSDAY, APR. 21) WE ARE OFFERING A CLIMATE JUSTICE DIALOGUE
SERIES [4] FOR PHILANTHROPY AND OTHERS interested in hearing directly from
those on the frontlines of the climate crisis. This series is part of a
broader Crash Course on Climate Justice [5]. In this introductory session,
guided by four movement leaders and one of the Alliance’s co-EDs,
you’ll learn about the origins of the movement, its guiding principles,
concepts like Just Transition, and the important distinction between
climate justice and mainstream environmentalism. We hope you’ll join us!

OR TAKE A MINUTE TO READ WHAT CJA’S LEADERSHIP RECENTLY HAD TO SAY ON
THIS TOPIC AND MORE IN AN INTERVIEW WITH PHILANTHROPY NEWS DIGEST. [6]

STAY TUNED FOR MORE ON EARTH DAY (FRIDAY!), AS WE RELEASE NEW CONTENT from
cultural organizers, artists and community leaders who are building Just
Transitions right now in their own neighborhoods, cities, and states. THIS
INCLUDES THE RELEASE OF OUR NEWEST PODCAST EPISODE, _“JUST CLIMATE
SOLUTION OR FALSE PROMISE? HERE’S HOW TO TELL”_ with frontline
community leaders from Richmond, CA, Newark, NJ, Washington DC, Jackson, MS
and more!
