Friend, You might imagine my shock at hearing that I was described as just "another Harley-riding redneck Trumper" by a supporter of my #NeverTrump US Senate primary opponent. Talk about a low information voter--this dude ain't got a clue. As an outspoken Trump supporting black conservative running against Democrat icon Tammy Duckworth, I've been called many names that center around color, but that color wasn't red. I'm not offended for being called a redneck-I'm honored. |

While it's true that I make no bones about my support of President Donald Trump, and I do love to ride my (American made, American proud) Harley, I'm not sure I fit the commonly understood definition of a redneck. |

Where I come from, that term refers to someone who works outside with their hands and gets a sunburn right where that white collar would be--if they wore one. That kind of real work is done by so many who support President Trump. |

| When the Establishment Kinzinger- and Cheney-supporting country club Republicans disparage the new working-class Republicans won over by Donald Trump, they are trying to minimize the importance of good people like farmers, mechanics, miners, construction workers, factory workers, and so many others. Those same church-going, hardworking, patriotic, and proud American car, truck, or bike-owning union members, like me, in the Midwest are now a critical part of the America First movement. |

|
The Mitt Romney types, who shipped jobs overseas to make a quick buck, were the poster children of a country club Establishment Republican Party, so many good folks in the Midwest wanted no part of. |
Donald Trump changed all that, he destroyed the old guard and put up an "under new management" sign on the GOP. He welcomed hard working white, black, Hispanic, and Asian voters to this party and made it great again. I ought to know because I'm one of them. |

As a Navy veteran, former law enforcement officer, and Harley riding Trump-supporting black conservative, I am uniquely qualified to give failed Democrat Incumbent Tammy Duckworth the fight of her life. I can maximize the Republican base vote, add Trump supporting-Independents and Democrats, and then cut into the black vote in a way no other Republican can, but I need your help to do it. |

The truth is I am the only chance the GOP has to beat Duckworth. The Kinzinger-defending #NeverTrump Republican candidates' only real purpose is to derail my campaign--so the GOP can nominate yet another sacrificial lamb this year who will lose with dignity. In Illinois, many Establishment Republicans try not to make waves by leaving very powerful elected officials like Duckworth without serious opposition so they can have a "kiddie seat" at the governing table and get invited to the "good cocktail parties." Well I, for one, hate the fact that Illinois is written off by the national media and national Republican Party. I will not be led quietly to the slaughter. With your help we will make this a fight the national media and Party cannot ignore. |
Our first hurdle is the primary. We have out-worked and out-raised the Establishment and #NeverTrump candidates, thanks to the support of people like you from all over America. While the polling and buzz demonstrate we are leading the primary field, we aren't taking anything for granted. Please make your contribution today so that we can get our budget set going forward. Thank you in advance for whatever you can do. Please keep this campaign, our supporters, and my family in your prayers. |
