I'm Alexis McGill Johnson, the Acting President of Planned Parenthood Action Fund - and I have some big news.

I just sat down with Democratic AGs to discuss something really important for the future of the abortion movement: From this moment on, the Democratic Attorneys General Association will only support AG candidates who publicly commit to protecting reproductive rights including access to abortion.

This is big, Friends - Democratic Attorneys General have been invaluable allies in the fight to protect Roe v. Wade and defend access to reproductive health care. Now, they're leading the rest of the Party by taking a stand on the type of candidates they will support for AG going forward. But here's what this groundbreaking decision means: right-wing, anti-choice extremists are now going to make taking down Democratic AGs their top priority.

This is historic. DAGA is the first Democratic campaign committee to make this kind of bold pledge, and we applaud their courage and commitment to this fight. Every dollar they raise will go toward electing leaders who will protect access to abortion.

If Democratic AGs are going to win the fights to protect and defend reproductive health care, they'll need all of us standing with them as the attacks undoubtedly get more intense: I'm counting on your support in this pivotal moment: Will you add your name - before midnight tonight - to stand with Democratic AGs who will defend access to abortion?

Across the country, ultra-conservative politicians are trying to outdo each other with extreme and restrictive anti-abortion access bills. Now that Brett Kavanaugh and Neil Gorsuch are on the Supreme Court, the future of Roe v. Wade may be in serious jeopardy.

The Democratic Attorneys General Association is the first committee in the Party to officially stand up for what a majority of Americans want: the right to make decisions about their own body and health care. But by doing so, Republicans will go all in to defeat them. We can beat the Republicans' ultra-conservative, backwards agenda, Friends, but only if Democrats like you stand with DAGA and the Dem AGs and fight back now.
