My fellow Republicans,


The May 7 Election is about to begin. This coming Monday the polls will be open for Early Voting. As I've been saying, this may be a "non-partisan" election, but we need to get the word out that there are candidates on the ballot who are Republicans and we need to support them. And everyone who has received their appraisal notices knows that their property taxes, already too high, are going to go up again. If you like high property taxes, vote for the bonds on the ballot. If you like lower taxes, vote against the bonds.


Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar reminds us that Texas is offering an Emergency Preparation Supplies Sales Tax Holiday this Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Here is a link to the list of supplies that qualify.

Management Committee passes Resolution at last meeting:

At the April 11 meeting, as part of his report, Resolutions Committee Chair Warrington Lee Austerman moved the MC to approve the resolution submitted by Otis Thompson (PC 4036) that: The Republican Party of Bexar County, in fellowship with the Black community, will support the upcoming First Annual Conservative Jubilee Juneteenth Celebration for the purpose of keeping alive the courageous, and glorious legacy of the U.S. Colored troops by promoting Living History Reenactments, and educational outreach activities in our schools, churches, and local governments across this the great State of Texas.
