Russia said on Tuesday that its offensive for control over Ukraine’s industrial heartland was underway as it bombarded targets across the sprawling eastern front, as the NYT reports.

White House readying more security assistance to Ukraine

President Joe Biden on Tuesday said he would authorize additional security assistance to Ukraine as Russia begins its new offensive in the southeastern part of the country known as the Donbas region, as Politico reports.

Biden restores climate safeguards in key environmental law

The White House on Tuesday announced it has restored key protections to a landmark environmental law governing the construction of pipelines, highways and other projects that President Donald Trump had ended, as the Washington Post reports.
