Yesterday, on Tax Day, we kicked off our campaign to #TaxBillionaires! On our live streamed event, we were joined by the authors of the two leading billionaires income tax bills in Congress—Senator Ron Wyden (OR) and Representative Jamaal Bowman (NY). We were also joined by former Secretary of Labor Robert Reich, MoveOn, Health Care for America Now, Progressive Change Campaign Committee, and hundreds of activists from across the country.

Together, we celebrated the progress we’re making, heard about proposals to make billionaires pay their fair share, and learned how to take action and get involved. We asked you to help us trend on social media by using the hashtag #TaxBillionaires and you delivered—the hashtag had over 91 MILLION impressions yesterday on Twitter alone!
It’s clear that working families are fed up with billionaires paying a lower tax rate than the rest of us—when billionaires pay taxes at all. Thanks to you, this Tax Day was dominated by the message that our tax code needs to tax income from wealth the way it taxes income from work, and that billionaires need to pay their fair share.
We’ve got the momentum behind us, but we need to carry the fight all the way through to November. Here are a few ways you can get involved:
