John, Politico just released their FIRST ratings for 2022 gubernatorial races. Governor McKee is well positioned, but we need YOUR support to fund our voter outreach efforts.
The Republican Governors Association has named Rhode Island as one of their top 5 targets in 2022. And we recently learned that the Republican candidate has already poured $500,000 into her own campaign – there’s more where that came from.
We’re in a strong position because of the widespread support Governor McKee has earned across the state. Last quarter we had donors in each of Rhode Island's 39 cities and towns, and Governor McKee has earned endorsements from municipal leaders, organized labor, and the Democratic Governors Association.
But this is going to be a tough race. It’s going to come down to how many voters we’re able to reach before Election Day. We’re preparing a comprehensive 39 cities and towns strategy… but to be honest, it’s going to be expensive.
Our team is proud of everything the Governor has accomplished in his first year – and we know how much more he can do for our state once he’s re-elected. There’s still a lot of work left to do to keep our economy growing, raise incomes, improve educational outcomes, expand clean energy initiatives, and much, much more.
