Dear John,
Hello and Happy Earth Week!
My name is Maggie, and I am thrilled to be the newest MCA/MCV team member. I couldn't have joined at a better time, with Earth Day fast approaching. I hope you can join us [[link removed]] for our Beach Cleanup on Friday, April 22 from 2 PM-4 PM.
We are delighted to be partnering with Blue Ocean Society for Marine Conservation on this event. Special thanks to our Beach Cleanup sponsors Back Cove Financial and Grandy Organics.
Following the cleanup, we will offer you an opportunity to advocate for federal climate action. Current federal climate negotiations could help protect Maine's coast and support climate action in Congress. Additionally, we've organized a raffle with fun prizes, such as shorebird-themed merch, a custom Maine Conservation Alliance Patagonia fleece, and a $100 L.L. Bean gift card!

Together, we’ll learn more about the science behind the trash that undoubtedly makes its way to Maine’s beaches, discuss the importance of healthy marine ecosystems, and take action to help cleanup one of our state’s most popular beaches.
REMINDER: FREE “Earth Day” t-shirts will be given out to the first 50 volunteers, so don’t forget to save your spot!
See you on the beach,
Maggie
