Team, I want to share a brief story with you. At the height of the Tea Party wave, I was up for my first election after being appointed.

In a year when many were wary of Obamacare and we saw backlash across the country, I went to the most conservative and rural areas in my state and held town halls to explain my vote.

I didn’t run away from conflict, I ran into it to stand my ground, because I knew I was making the right decision for kids and families. That’s what I did as superintendent too, and it’s what I’ll do as president.
