John,

In Delaware and throughout our country, we are blessed with lands, waterways, and wildlife that have become a source of national pride and international recognition. One of my top priorities is protecting these invaluable resources and preserving the environment for generations to come.

Since taking office last year, President Biden and his administration have made great strides in combating climate change and laying the framework for a greener and more efficient tomorrow. It has been my honor to work alongside them in the fight for our environment.

From establishing the United States as a global leader in the fight against climate change to allocating $20 billion in new investments for clean energy development and research, our government has made progress in undoing the damage of the previous administration and building a better future for us all.

I know that climate change is one of the most important challenges facing our nation, and there's still work to be done, John. Last year, I was proud to lead a bipartisan group of senators to the climate summit in Glasgow to advocate for solutions to this crisis. In the Senate, I'm working to take decisive action to reduce the threat of climate change. One of my top priorities is creating a Civilian Climate Corps to put folks to work, making our most vulnerable communities more resilient to climate change.

As we approach Earth Day 2022, will you support stronger and more decisive legislation to protect our environment? If you agree with me, add your name to this petition. >> [link removed]

Thank you,

Chris Coons
