Bad news, John: POLITICO just rated our race as a “Lean Democratic” seat, making us one of the most competitive governors races in the county and leaving our race one step away from a pure “toss-up.”

We always knew we had a tough fight this year — polling shows that Republicans are already statistically tied with our campaign. But to be blunt: We didn’t expect to get this rating this early.

We can’t afford to lose any more ground. My campaign team set an emergency 24-hour $20,000 goal to hold the line, but we’re falling short right now.

John, will you chip in $3, or whatever works today, to help us fight back and keep Minnesota blue? If you haven’t donated yet this year, there’s no better time to make a difference than right now.  I’m counting on your help by midnight.
