Friend, we’re just NINE DAYS AWAY from the Badass in Green Awards, our annual ceremony for the California climate community to come together to honor visionary leaders and innovators in the movement.

I’m so excited to share with you our centerpiece speaker: California Attorney General Rob Bonta.

I always say that we have the solutions to solve the climate crisis; what we lack is the political will.

At the Badass in Green Awards, we’ll celebrate the climate champions who have been showing that political will and taking tangible, significant actions to fight climate change.

Attorney General Bonta has been an environmental champion for California’s families with a proven track record of centering climate and equity in his work. A longtime member of the State Assembly, Bonta earned a 100% lifetime score on our Environmental Scorecard for spearheading key legislation to advance climate justice and protect our future. In his first year as Attorney General, he has already fought to create more stringent greenhouse gas emission vehicle standards, hold Big Oil accountable for its role in the climate crisis, and increase transparency around companies' financial risk from the crisis.

Bonta joins our growing list of speakers at the Badass in Green Awards, which will honor 15-year-old environmental rights activist Genesis Butler, Southern California Edison’s Caroline Choi, Don’t Look Up writer, director, and producer Adam McKay, and Northern Chumash Tribal Council Chairwoman Violet Sage Walker.

State Senator Sydney Kamlager, who received a 100% score in our 2021 Environmental Scorecard, will do the opening welcome at the event at SmogShoppe in Culver City, which is located in her district.

Friend, you won’t want to miss this exciting event to hear from Attorney General Bonta and State Senator Kamlager, and celebrate the badass Californians leading the fight against climate change and for climate justice.

The Badass in Green Awards will be held Thursday, April 28 in Los Angeles. Tickets start at $100 for adults and $50 for youth. Buy your ticket today!

See you soon!
