Remember how Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis vetoed the legislature’s gerrymandered congressional map because it wasn’t gerrymandered enough? Well, Republican legislators have completely given in to him:

They’re letting him draw the map! And it’s bad, John. DeSantis’ proposal dismantles Florida’s Black opportunity congressional districts and could give the GOP control over 71% of Florida’s 28 congressional districts!

Between inserting himself into redistricting, curtailing voting rights, and pushing for an election police force – not to mention supporting abortion bans and Florida’s infamous “Don’t Say Gay” law – he’s proving himself to be one of the most extreme Republican politicians in the U.S. And many people expect him to run for president in 2024!

But DeSantis is up for reelection in 2022, as are dozens of other gerrymandering politicians. And with your help, we’ll hold them accountable in November and help mobilize voters to REPLACE them with Democrats who support fair redistricting.
