Steve Daines, United States Senator for Montana

Great News for LWCF and our Parks!

Last week, with my strong support, the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee passed the LWCF Permanent Funding Act and Restore Our Parks Act, bringing us one step closer to fully funding the Land and Water Conservation Fund and addressing the growing maintenance backlog in our national parks. Both bills passed with bipartisan suppport!

Yellowstone and Glacier alone have $716 million in deferred maintenance backlog and as Chairman of the National Parks Subcommittee, I am committed to fixing this problemLWCF is a critical program for Montana’s outdoor recreation economy and I will continue to fight to fully and permanently fund this program.
