Modern animal farming is completely out of control. Factory farms confine billions of animals in filthy facilities, endangering public health and releasing toxins and climate-warming emissions into the environment. In fact, industrial animal agriculture is responsible for more greenhouse gases than the entire transportation industry combined! We need a less greedy, more reasonable food system.
It’s easy to feel overwhelmed and hopeless about this problem—we get it! But there’s hope on the horizon. A bill pending in Congress could end the era of the polluting, cruel factory farms. This Earth Day, use your voice by supporting the federal Farm System Reform Act. |
