John, will you join me and remind FIFA that there is no World Cup 2026 without workers?

John,

Join me and remind the Federation of International Football Associations (FIFA) that there is no World Cup 2026 without workers.

Right now, FIFA is selecting the cities across the U.S. that will host the 2026 Men’s World Cup. We are demanding that FIFA commit to minimum labor and human rights standards for 2026. Sign the petition today and tell FIFA we won’t accept the horrendous conditions and human rights violations tied to previous World Cup tournaments.

FIFA’s president, Gianni Infantino, has refused to meet with us and has even ignored the U.S. Government’s demands that they meet with unions and other stakeholders. The 2026 World Cup will generate a staggering $7 billion in revenue for FIFA, yet they cannot even be bothered to meet with those who make it possible.

FIFA’s behavior is an outrage. The World Cup would not be possible without the workers who maintain facilities, transportation, hospitality, security, food service, construction, etc.

Let’s remind FIFA that there is no World Cup 2026 without workers.

In solidarity,

Liz Shuler

President, AFL-CIO
