John —

Right now, Melissa Lucio is still facing execution on April 27 for a crime that never occurred. Melissa’s conviction was based on an unreliable, coerced “confession” and unscientific false evidence that misled the jury.

There are simply too many doubts in this case and moving forward with this execution would be an incredible injustice that could never be taken back.

With just eight days left to stop her execution, we’re hosting a live conversation and call-a-thon in support of Melissa Lucio, TODAY at 2 p.m. ET — make sure you join us: [[link removed]]

We’ll be joined by the Innocence Project’s Director of Special Litigation and attorney for Melissa Vanessa Potkin, exoneree Sabrina Butler-Smith of Witness to Innocence, and Daisy Lopez from Friendship of Women.

During the call, we’ll discuss Melissa’s case and ways that everyone can get involved to help stop her execution — including hosting a live call-a-thon where we all contact Gov. Greg Abbott’s office and urge him to grant Melissa clemency.

If you want to stop the execution of an innocent person, then you should join this live stream today at 2 p.m. ET — RSVP here: [[link removed]]

Thank you so much for your support,
