Our NDIS is at a crossroads. It’s not the NDIS we fought so hard for, or the NDIS Australians deserve. That’s why on April 28th we need to make some noise. A federal election is just around the corner. Let’s show our political leaders just how important it is that we Defend Our NDIS. There are a number of ways you can get involved on April 28th: Join a Defend Our NDIS event near you There are a range of big events taking part right across the country. Go to our website to find an event near you. (Some events on the website are still being updated, so check back soon for more details.) Host your own event Want to host your own Defend Our NDIS event? Fantastic! It doesn’t matter if it’s a morning tea, a letterboxing event, or even a dance party – get creative and host your own Defend Our NDIS National Day of Action event. You can register your event with us on our website, then download some materials (don’t’ forget to buy a t-shirt too!) and go for it! Make sure you take photos and tag us on social media with #DefendOurNDIS! Join our Defend Our NDIS Big Night In Finish our National Day of Action with this exciting online event where we will report back on events of the day and plan the final push to Election Day. In this 2 hr event, which will run from 7pm – 9pm (AEST) on Zoom, we will hear from: · Campaigners from around the country who have taken part in the day’s activities; · Leaders and influencers in the sector; · Representatives of the major parties to hear from them on their commitment to defend our NDIS. This fun event will have a few surprises for everyone! It will be facilitated by Every Australia Counts spokesperson Elly Desmarchelier. Make it a perfect end to what will be a great day of activism for those who care about Defending our NDIS. Click here to register for the Big Night In.
