Activists from Extinction Rebellion went on hunger strike last week after Nancy Pelosi refused to meet with them to discuss the global climate crisis.

Extinction Rebellion understands that the climate crisis is “an unprecedented global emergency” requiring urgent and dramatic action.

I agree. San Francisco agrees. Why doesn't Speaker Pelosi?

We need a representative who won’t just talk, but take action to stop climate change!

Pelosi prides herself on holding more hearings on the climate crisis than Republicans have in the past.

She argues that, with a Republican-controlled Senate and Presidency, her hands are tied and Congress is unable to do anything more.

But that narrative ignores the many plans the House could develop to address the climate crisis. Speaker Pelosi opposes bold solutions that are put before her, like the Green New Deal. Why?

We are done waiting for answers.
