Dear A.,
Yesterday, the Progressive Caucus in North Carolina called on a pro-Israel candidate, Valerie Foushee, to cut her ties with AIPAC and the pro-Israel Americans across the country supporting her.
In response, we reaffirmed our commitment to standing with pro-Israel leaders:
"Our activists proudly support Valerie Foushee—a progressive Democrat—who solidly supports the U.S.-Israel relationship in stark contrast to her opponent. It is entirely consistent with progressive values to stand with our democratic ally, Israel. Our active participation in the democratic process will not be deterred by ideological groups with highly partisan agendas. We are a bipartisan organization exclusively focused on advancing the U.S.-Israel relationship and support candidates from both parties who are committed to that goal."
This outrageous attack uniquely and exclusively singles out our community—but we will never be silenced!
Our response must be immediate and unequivocal: We will stand with our friends and help them beat anti-Israel challengers.
ACT TODAY: No matter the amount, we need your help now to stand with State Senator Foushee and send a powerful message to anti-Israel organizations.

State Senator Foushee's opponent in the Democratic primary is Nida Allam, an anti-Israel candidate who has called to end U.S. support for Israel and advocates for the BDS campaign against the Jewish state.
This race is one of several we are actively engaged in. Below my signature are several campaigns where pro-Israel leaders are taking on anti-Israel candidates.
The stakes are incredibly high.
Your action in the next 24 hours sends a powerful message that we aren't going anywhere. We will do what it takes to stand with our friends and strengthen the U.S.-Israel relationship.
Your leadership now is essential.
Thank you for helping ensure we will never be silenced.
Sincerely,
Marilyn Rosenthal

"When I hear American politicians use the refrain 'Israel has the right to defend itself' in response to undeniable atrocities on a marginalized population, I can't help but think of how the West has always justified indiscriminate and disproportionate force and power on weakened and marginalized people."
