The latest IPCC report could not be more clear — the time for climate action is now. And the number one takeaway from the report was: Politics and resistance to change are the primary obstacles to climate action.
From the state to the federal level, the fossil fuel industry is bankrolling politicians on both sides of the aisle halting change and killing climate action. The report cited fossil-fuel funded think-tanks amplifying false messaging and paid actors spewing pro fossil-fuel messaging in community hall meetings. From the federal to the local level, the fossil fuel industry is spreading climate change misinformation. This has to stop.
