Friend,
We won! My special election was the first week of April, and with all the ballots now counted, I officially secured more votes than my opponent!
This is a great victory, and we should all be celebrating.
But this race isn't over. Even though we won, I'm still headed to a run-off election in just a few weeks to determine who will finish the current term representing AD-80. I'm also in the primary to represent AD-80 for the next term on that same June 7 ballot.
That's right: I'll be on the ballot twice — which is confusing, I know.
But at its core, this is still a simple race: In the State Assembly, I'll stand up to special interests and fight for working families, always. My opponent's record proves he won't do the same.
We have 50 days to spread our campaign's message to AD-80 voters, and make sure they know to vote in the run-off election and the primary.
If you want to help us keep up our momentum and reach out to voters, your contribution now will make a big difference >>
We got this!
