John joined the progressive organization Our Maryland to share his vision for a brighter, more just, more equitable future. 

On Wednesday, April 13 John joined Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and Senator Elizabeth Warren for the 2nd annual State of Student Debt Summit. 

On Sunday, April 17 John and Melissa joined Pastor Jenkins and the congregation of First Baptist Church of Glenarden to celebrate Easter. 

On Saturday, April 16 John and Michelle attended the Prince George's County African Diaspora Advisory Board International Women's Day celebration.
