Team,

This is how voter suppression works. Check out this NPR headline:

Almost 25,000 mail-in ballots were rejected in Texas for its March 1 primary election

And just to be clear, out of the near 25,000 ballots thrown out, over 14,000 of Democratic mail-in ballots were rejected, while only around 10,000 Republican ballots were rejected.

Folks, this law had a bigger effect on Democratic than Republican voters. And that is exactly the intention! We should be expanding access to the ballot box, not suppressing it.

Future Forum will continue their effort to protect everyone’s right to vote – but with the midterm election inching closer, they need you more than ever to stay in the House and keep up the fight. If you can, please contribute today and defend the ballot box!

In Harris County, Texas — home to Houston, an incredibly diverse city — officials rejected 19% percent of the mail ballots they received.

Communities of color have always been the target of these increased restrictive measures for one simple reason – accessing their right to mail-in ballots.

Our democracy is only as strong as our right to vote and we need leaders in Washington who will stand up and speak out against the injustices of voter suppression. Republicans are going to continue their suppression tactics to take the House in November and we cannot let that happen. Will you contribute whatever you can today to keep our majority blue this November?
