I’m Gabby Giffords, former Congresswoman and forever gun violence prevention advocate. Along with my organization Giffords PAC, I’ve been on a mission to save lives from gun violence for over a decade. To do that, we need leaders in Congress who will fight for our safety.

That’s why today, I’m reaching out to you in support of Madeleine Dean. Mad and I never served together – she entered the PA State House in 2012, the same year I left Congress to focus on my rehabilitation after a shooter nearly took my life. But when it comes to addressing gun violence, I know she’s got the courage and compassion we need in this fight.

For these reasons and more, I’m honored to endorse her re-election campaign.

Mad is a true public servant. Since day one, she’s been committed to making Pennsylvania a safer place for all. In fact, the very first piece of legislation she introduced in Congress back in 2019 focused on the need to regulate “ghost guns” – a relatively new form of firearm that can be bought online without a background check and assembled at home without a serial number

We need to make sure Congresswoman Dean keeps her seat in the House to stand up to the NRA, gun lobbyists, and anyone who stands in the way of gun safety progress.

Gun violence in our country is a public health crisis, and we need to re-elect leaders who understand the urgency of saving lives. Madeleine Dean is one of those leaders, and I hope you’ll join me in supporting her.
