Friend - Undocumented youth in DC need our support right now.

The DC City Council has introduced a bill that would offer financial assistance to undocumented students who graduated from a DC high school or earned their GED. The first steps to passing this bill & making access to financial aid a reality for thousands of UndocuStudents is raising our voices to demand that the DC ACHIEVES (Advancing College Hopes for Immigrants’ Education and Vocational Enrichment Scholarship) bill is scheduled for a hearing date & included in the city budget. 🗓️

DC City Council Chairman Mendelson is the person who can set the date for the bill to be heard by the entire 13 member council. So we’re taking action to make sure he knows where our community stands! 📣 Can you take a second and sign our petition to Chairman Mendelson to demand he schedule a hearing for the DC ACHIEVES bill asap?!
