N.D. National Guard Soldiers serving at southern border rescue migrants
Gov. Doug Burgum expressed his gratitude for North Dakota Department of Transportation, Highway Patrol, Department of Emergency Services and other agencies that worked throughout the week to prepare for and provide services during a three-day blizzard that pummeled much of the state, with more than 30 inches of snow reported in some areas.
Veterans welcomed home from inaugural Western North Dakota Honor Flight
"Our military veterans deserve our endless gratitude for their incredible service and sacrifice. Deepest thanks to these veterans for defending our freedom, and to the many volunteers behind the inaugural Western North Dakota Honor Flight for making this well-deserved trip happen," Sanford said. "Whether it’s the North Dakota National Guard members greeting them in D.C. or the hundreds of flag-waving community members showing their support at the Bismarck Airport tonight, our military members can always count on a proper North Dakota welcome."
