Dear NRDC Action Fund Activist,

Most families are feeling some pain at the pump these days. I know mine
is.

Oil prices are all over the place, but the price we pay at the gas station
has remained high.

Big Oil CEOs are cynically exploiting Russia's violent and unjust invasion
of Ukraine to drive up fuel prices and pad their profits. And they're
using this moment to try to lock us into decades more dependence on the
dirty fuels driving the climate crisis, all while lobbying against clean
energy development.

But what they're really doing is underscoring the perils of our dependence
on fossil fuels.

powerful lobbyists, and their allies in Congress, by making your

You and I know that the only lasting solution to sky-high gas prices is to

American voters wants to end our dependence on fossil fuels.

facts out to as many people as we can using every tool at our disposal
— including running a national TV ad calling on Congress to break
America's fossil fuel addiction by advancing clean energy.
* Keep climate at the forefront in Washington: We're escalating pressure
on the Biden administration to accelerate our transition to a 100%
clean energy future and marshaling our resources to get environmental
champions elected in November.
* Train and mobilize volunteers to reach more voters: We're building on

during the 2020 election to again reach voters in key states like
Michigan, Nevada, and Pennsylvania.

most important Congressional and gubernatorial races.
