I’ve been fighting relentlessly against my colleagues in the Legislature who tried to pass one of the most restrictive abortion bans in the country -- fundraising has been the LAST thing on my mind.

But I just missed my weekly fundraising goal with my primary less than a month away.

John -- I’m up by one point against Republican Don Bacon, but he will wipe out my lead with his cash advantage if I don’t pick up the pace. I need to pay for my TV and radio ads, mail to voters, and field staff, who are knocking non-stop on doors across the district. I need 34 more gifts before midnight to fill my budget hole, or I’ll be forced to make some difficult cuts.
