Earlier today, the New York Daily News published my Op-Ed outlining what needs to be done to combat the return of Albany dysfunction and deliver for the people of New York. 

We all see it: Crime is out of control, people are hurting, and we have a state government that prioritized a billion-dollar giveaway to the Bills’ billionaire owners and appeasing special interests over actually fixing the problems in front of it. 

Albany has reverted back to the bad old days of parochial politics, fundraising and incompetence and produced a budget that I never would have signed. 

The ship of state is listing and dramatic action needs to be taken in order to correct the course. 

We’re in a post-COVID world, people can work from anywhere and if nothing changes, more New Yorkers will leave New York and Democrats will pay the price at the polls.
