Welcome to our weekly newsletter about mental health services and support available in Barnet and beyond. Also bringing you updates on Inclusion Barnet mental health news. Produced by Ed Peston, Communications Assistant.
Inclusion Barnet Events and News Do you have a long-term mental health condition? Give an hour to help shape social care and receive £20
We are looking for people to take part in a focus group discussing how social work could be better. Whether you’ve had input from a social worker, or have not but feel that it may have helped, we want to hear your views.
The discussion will take place on Wednesday 20th April at 3pm, via Zoom.
It will be led by members of Social Work England’s National Advisory Forum with lived experience, with support from SWE and Inclusion Barnet staff members.

SURE for Mental Health - Bring Your Own Mug, Wednesday 20 April, 2.00 - 3.00pm
This Bring Your Own Mug session is aimed at anyone who would like the opportunity to meet new people and join in with a variety of discussion points from mental health to hobbies. This is also a great opportunity to share information and tips around life in general and also find out what other people have been up to during the pandemic.
You can drop in for 5 minutes or stay for the hour, it is completely up to you.

We are a Peer-Led Deaf and Disabled People’s Organisation (DDPO).
Nearly all of our directors and staff have lived experience of disability, including mental health issues and/or long-term health conditions.
We believe that learning to use our lived experience for social change is a skill. We have become experts in harnessing the lived experience of our staff, members, volunteers and the people who use our services to design and deliver higher quality, more person-centred services.
