|

The policy prescriptions of our governments to the COVID pandemic has put the Charter of Rights and Freedoms to the test. Has it passed with flying colours, scraped through or been a dismal failure? Borders between provinces and internationally have been shut, peaceful assembly and voluntary association curtailed, freedom of religion denied. Through it all, many Canadians have been asking where is our Charter of Rights and Freedoms? Tremendous discussion with the Honourable Brian Peckford, Professor of Law Bruce Pardy and former BC Attorney-General Suzanne Anton. VIDEO

28 Reasons Canadians Ought To Be Concerned
|
In March 2020, our governments in Canada declared a state of emergency in response to Covid-19. This resulted in the most egregious violation of rights and freedoms in our history. Voices of concern and pleas to our governments and their agents from scientists, doctors, politicians, academics, lawyers and citizens to stop the violations have been met with silence and dismissal. Though we are seeing some reversals in the government’s response to Covid-19 with mask and vaccine mandates being rescinded in many sectors, all is not well. Below are some of the many reasons why Canadians ought to be concerned with the status of Canada
today.

"Following the medical precautionary principle,
the default position for vaccination must be recommendations, not compulsion. Compulsion, not only undermines trust,
but limits the fundamental rights to life, liberty, bodily integrity, informed consent, privacy, and to parental decision-making."
