One of my favorite parts of my job as Senator is touring the Commonwealth and talking to my constituents.
In Roanoke, Virginia, I got to talk about all the ways the bipartisan infrastructure bill passed last year could help them improve the Wiley Dr. Bridge. The bridge has flooded 20 times in the past two years.
In Bedford County, I got to see the fiber that is being used to expand broadband internet access across the county — an expansion made possible by Democrats in the Senate.
And in Charlottesville, I discussed with residents how the USPS reform bill we just passed is going to help ease the systemic pressure that has created unacceptable delays in mail delivery for people in the area, and the work I hope to do to further improve USPS performance.
Team, these trips are always more fun when Democrats are in the majority because we actually do things that help people.
And that’s what makes me so concerned about losing the majority in November. You’ve heard it before, and you’ll hear it again. If we lose one seat in November, we lose the majority.
We can’t let that happen. Chip in $5 today so Democrats can keep control of the Senate, and we can keep delivering for you and other people in Virginia. [link removed]
