John,
Fran and I want to wish you and your family a happy Easter and to wish our Jewish friends a happy Passover. This is a time of rebirth -- and a time to look forward to things to come.
As I said in my State of the State speech, everything is possible in the springtime! As we watch nature’s beauty come to life, I am reminded of the parents and grandparents, who were great optimists. My dad, in the final autumn of his life when he was dying from cancer, made sure the daffodil bulbs were planted -- knowing full-well he would probably not live to see them bloom in the spring. But he did that because he had faith and hope in the future and in the beauty of what was yet to be.
May we all find the renewal of hope, health, love, and faith during this Holy time.
Our best,
Mike and Fran DeWine
