WHAT is going on with the Supreme Court, John
✓ First they rejected a Republican effort to block the Wisconsin congressional map.
✕ Then, in a failure to adhere to precedent, they reversed the Wisconsin Supreme Court’s choice of fairer state legislative maps!
✓ A month ago, the Court’s conservative majority claimed it was too close to an election to remedy a violation of the Voting Rights Act in Alabama.
✕ Now they’ve ignored the same concern in Wisconsin!
Where does that leave us? With A.G. Holder’s words:
Here’s the thing: Our strategy has never been reliant on any one court. But SCOTUS’s erratic behavior does make our task of ending Republican gerrymandering more challenging.
So we’re asking you to dig deep and give what you can today to help us keep this critically important fight going. Will you chip in?
