Well, it's taken an unbelievably long time but I finally got Covid. My symptoms are very mild, but I'll be isolating for a bit. Will I use this opportunity to ask you to contribute to our campaign? I went to St. Petersburg, Russia in 2001 on the Sibelius train from Finland. On the train I met a couple of Finnish music instructors at the Sibelius Academy. One of them told me that when hiring Russians, you can't pay them anything until they're done or they'll go buy vodka, get drunk and not complete the work. I hadn't met a Russian at that point, and Osmo was many years my senior, so I didn't say anything then. I'm saying it now. If you're letting the media convince you that Russians are inherently evil or dishonest, then you are listening to bigotry.

Don't let bigoted media analysis, which is trying to dehumanize Russians the way propaganda dehumanized Japanese people in WWII or Vietnamese people during the Vietnam War or Arabs after 9/11 change you. This is outright bigotry. If your media is telling you that it's okay to mistreat people because they are Russian, turn that crap off! It's NOT okay! Russians are just like you and me- struggling to survive in a difficult world. You have more in common with Russian people than you do with Joe Biden or whoever your Congressperson is. The same goes for Ukrainians.
This is kind of close to my heart and coming from personal experience. Elect me and I will write a bill requiring all new and used car dealers to install a catalytic converter shield in every car they sell. This relatively cheap add-on will save potential theft victims a lot of money.

Taking corporate PAC money has become a big deal. Some elected officials have sworn off corporate PAC money, but not Mike Thompson. Instead, Mike continues to lie to your face about these PACs being corporate PACs. This is legalized bribery, not some employees making a campaign contribution!

The League of Women Voters will not be hosting a Congressional debate again this year in CA-4. This time the excuse is being short handed. So they chose the Sheriff race over Congress?? This is my third run and the third time the League has failed to host this debate. Whether it is the case or not, the Napa and Sonoma chaps of this group both have the appearance of partisanship. I find this excuse aggravating. Something is definitely wrong here.

Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan has been ousted. He was extraordinarily popular. Many considered him Pakistan's best PM in history. Khan says that the US is behind his ouster and that he has a letter from the US government to prove it, however he's been blocked from publishing the letter by the Pakistani parliament, so we haven't seen it. The backlash came because Khan defiantly went to Moscow and bought some gas and wheat from Russia in the face of United States pressure to sanction Russia, saying "Do you think we are your slaves?" to the west. The opposition did not want to anger the United States.
US war criminals and their media co-workers are pretending the invasion of Ukraine is the first war crime, and the worst, since World War II in hopes of erasing their own atrocities from the narrative. These four plus Trump account for multiple destroyed countries, millions of dead children, torture, prosecuted journalists, intentionally starving whole populations and alliances with violent extremists including Nazis and terrorists all over the world.

Most people really don't have more than a basic understand of Saudi Arabia bombing Yemen. Richard Medhurst brilliantly details the blockade of products coming into the country, how it affects prices and how it will make global sanctions on Russian wheat much worse in Yemen than anywhere else.
