Friend, Judge Jackson's historic confirmation to the Supreme Court showed us just how important Democrats' fragile Senate majority is.

On the day of her confirmation vote, Mitch McConnell refused to commit to giving any of President Biden's future nominees a hearing if Republicans take back the majority in November.

Justice Jackson won’t change the current 6-3 balance of the Court, which rules so consistently in favor of big corporations and wealthy special interests. But McConnell knows that if Biden has a chance to nominate one more justice, it would start to imperil McConnell’s long project to remake the Supreme Court.

There is no norm McConnell and his allies wouldn't trample to keep the Court That Dark Money Built cranking out rulings in favor of Republican donors' interests. That's why we cannot give them that opportunity. We cannot lose Senate control.

But the GOP only has to flip one seat red to flip the entire Senate, and experts from CNN to Nate Silver's FiveThirtyEight are reporting that Republicans are favored to succeed. As right-wing dark money groups pour millions of dollars into crucial battleground races, we can't let a single seat fall into Republican hands. That's why I'm coming to you directly:

I'm working tirelessly to end dark money's influence on our democracy and protect the future of the Supreme Court, but I can't continue this work without your support. Will you please contribute $5 or more to help me power my campaign and defend the Senate for Democrats?

Sheldon
