We can't turn on the TV, look at a newspaper, or listen to the radio without hearing about it — impeachment.

You already know how outspoken I've been about Donald Trump and his fitness for office and yes, it's a big reason I decided to stand up and run against him. It's probably a big reason you chose to stand with us.

But with impeachment dominating the national conversation, it's easy to miss the big picture, John. 

This is about more than winning or losing an election. Americans are facing real issues in their homes and their communities — big and complicated problems — that need real fixes.

Just today, I was in Texas, where I joined mayors and local leaders of cities and towns to share my vision for restoring American infrastructure. Our infrastructure has fallen by the wayside, and without our attention, its disrepair threatens our ability to deliver clean water, keep our children safe in schools, modernize our energy portfolio, ensure our cyber-security, and more. I’m making my Restore our Infrastructure plan a centerpiece of my campaign, because it would be a day-one priority for me as President.

What did Donald Trump do this week to help move the ball forward for our country? Well, just the other day, Donald Trump tweeted over 40 times with complaints, attacks, and vain self-promotion. Not one tweet he sent was about any policy issue facing the American people. We deserve better.

America has a choice to make: do we want 4 more years of ignoring the problems our country is facing or do we want to start solving those problems?

I'm ready to find solutions, and I bet you are too.
