I know you hear a lot from me about how important it is that we defend our razor-thin Senate majority in this November’s midterm elections. Don’t get me wrong, it’s absolutely vital work — but we need to keep our eyes on all the important races down the ballot this year, too.

My Republican colleagues in the House and Senate might grab plenty of headlines, but the GOP’s assault on our rights and on our democracy — from cruel abortion bans to voter suppression laws — are coming first and foremost from Republicans in state legislatures, and Republican governors are signing those extreme bills into law.

With Senate Republicans weaponizing the filibuster to block our work to codify Roe v. Wade , protect voting rights, take action on climate change, and more, we don’t just need to expand and defend our razor-thin majority — we need to elect Democrats to all levels of government.

So no matter who’s up for election in your state this November, will you commit to casting your vote for Democrats up and down the ballot? We’re going to need all hands on deck to safeguard the future of our democracy and our planet. [[link removed]]

COMMIT TO VOTE [[link removed]]

I deeply appreciate your commitment to our democracy. If you can, make sure to tell your neighbors, family members, and friends about how important it is to vote this November. You can find more information about how to cast a ballot in any state here. [[link removed]]

Con gratitud,

Ben Ray
