Sorry for emailing you on the weekend, but we wouldn’t do it unless it was
important.

In order to keep our grassroots campaign running, we needed to raise
$5,000 by last night. Unfortunately, we fell short by about $820. That’s
why we are extending our deadline to tonight at midnight.

additional $820 by tonight so we can meet our $5,000 mid-month goal?

We don’t always extend deadlines like this, but it’s so important we hit
this goal we had no other choice. After all, the fight for justice doesn’t
stop just because it’s a weekend.

Our movement has always been driven by the dedication of individual,
small-dollar donors like you giving $3, $10, or even $50 whenever you can.
But our fundraising has decreased over the past few weeks — which is not
good during an election year.

We have some catching up to do.
