Pray for three boys in Ghana as they are reintegrated back into their community. The three boys were rescued in 2021 from forced labor slavery in the fishing industry of Lake Volta, where they suffered numerous abuses. Pray for the boys’ continued healing and for a strong sense of safety and belonging as they return to their home community.
Latin America
Join the Latin America Regional Team in prayer for patience, grace, creativity and wisdom as we grow and change over the next months. The team hopes the growth and changes will build the team’s capacity to better serve the needs of the work in field offices throughout Latin America and to achieve the 2030 vision of protecting half a billion people in situations of poverty from violence.
South Asia
Please pray for the roll-out of Trauma-Informed Care training at shelter homes across our project area. IJM has been advocating for years for these top-notch aftercare principles to be set as standards for these shelter homes, and we are so excited the government has gotten behind this idea. These trainings will help staff at aftercare shelters understand and accommodate the intense trauma survivors of trafficking experience, so they can help make smarter and more caring treatment plans to help these young women recover well. Pray for stamina and energy for our staff as they roll out these great trainings across the state!
Southeast Asia
Praise God for the rescue of 23 victims from online sexual exploitation! Our IJM Philippines team in partnership with the Philippine National Police conducted simultaneous rescue operations that resulted in the rescue of these victims and the arrest of three suspects. Please pray for the victims as they now start the process of healing – that they are able to access resources and find strong community that will walk them through this next season. Also pray that the perpetrators will be convicted to further prevent this crime from happening to anyone else.
