Who is Tiffany Smiley?

 

Tiffany Smiley is a fighter. Tiffany is a nurse, military wife, and veterans'
advocate who’s taken on the D.C. bureaucracy and won.

When her husband, Scotty, served our country in Iraq, he was hit by a suicide
bomber, fell into a coma, and permanently lost sight in both eyes. While he was
in trauma care, she was told he would never be able to serve his nation again.
But Tiffany refused to accept no for an answer. She fought by her husband’s
side to make sure he wasn’t just another statistic in the unreliable VA. And
they succeeded. Scotty went on to serve as America’s first blind active-duty
Army officer. To this day, Tiffany and her husband are fighting to make sure
every veteran gets the benefits and care they deserve.

What should we know about her race?

 

A Republican hasn’t won a Washington U.S. Senate race since 1994 – that’s more
than a quarter of a century ago. This year, we have a chance to change that.
