Hi John,

What can people learn from birds? Only one of the most important facts of life — that humans and nature are intimately linked.

This Earth Week, learn what that means from renowned birders and authors J. Drew Lanham and David Lindo in a special webinar hosted by the Center for Biological Diversity, Thoreau Society, and College of Idaho.

These world-famous birders will share what birds can teach us about interconnectivity, following up with a Q&A session for participants.

Register to join this exclusive webinar on Wednesday, April 20, at 2 p.m. PT / 5 p.m. ET.

J. Drew Lanham is an ornithologist, activist, and distinguished professor and master teacher of wildlife ecology at Clemson University, as well as the poet laureate of Edgefield County, South Carolina. He uses speaking and writing about birding as an inspirational vehicle for connecting people to the outdoors. He has spent decades writing and speaking about the experience of Black birders and has written essays on the connections between racism and extinction, working to make conservation more inclusive.

David Lindo, aka the Urban Birder, is a London-based broadcaster, writer, naturalist, photographer and tour leader who inspires people to re-look at urban environments and open their eyes, ears, hearts and minds to connect with the nature around them. He promotes the appreciation and conservation of birds that share city lives. His new children’s encyclopedia, The Extraordinary World of Birds, is being released in June.
