The Huffington Post just asked my opponent Henry Cuellar if he'd join my call for Rick Perry to comply with the Congressional subpoena, and once again he dodged the question.

He was asked directly about Rick Perry, and he refused even to say his name.

That is unacceptable. Our democracy is on the line. Now is the time for political courage. Henry Cuellar must stand up to his friend and demand his testimony.

Will you join my call? Add your name to demand that Henry Cuellar call for Rick Perry to comply with the Congressional subpoena and testify about Donald Trump's bribery scheme.

Henry Cuellar has a history of not standing up to Rick Perry. Quite the opposite in fact -- he's spent years supporting Rick Perry's agenda.

This is what the Huffington Post said:

"[Cuellar] was the only Democrat in the House to vote against a 2012 resolution condemning the name of Perry's family ranch, which includes a racial slur for African Americans."

"Cuellar even spoke about the possibility of feeling conflicted if Perry were the Republican nominee against President Barack Obama in 2012."

"When Trump nominated Perry to his Cabinet, Cuellar spoke up on his behalf and urged his colleagues in the Senate to vote yes on his nomination."

Once again today, he is giving his friend Rick Perry a pass at the expense of our democracy.

We need to send him a message that we will not allow him to dodge this issue any longer:
