John,
Earlier today I logged in to ActBlue to check how our fundraising has been doing this month. Right now, we’re $15,000 short from where we wanted to be by our mid-month fundraising deadline tomorrow.
This is a critical problem for several reasons — especially now that seven challengers have officially announced they are running against Cori and attempting to stop our movement for bold, progressive change.
Will you chip in $7 or anything you can right now to show your support for Cori this election? If at least one third of the folks reading this email right now chip in, we can hit our goal and make sure we have the funds to keep Cori in Congress.
Chip in $7
John, we can’t take anything for granted.
In 2020, Cori’s sisters in the Squad, Representatives Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, and Rashida Tlaib, all faced primary challengers backed by Republican donors, dark money, and corporate PAC dollars. Those challengers spent millions in an attempt to weaken our progressive coalition and we know that they’re going to come out even harder in 2022 to fight for a Republican majority in Congress.
Cori has been an unapologetic advocate for our progressive values and has made it clear she’s not backing down in the fight to pass Medicare for All, a Green New Deal, and the People’s Response Act. There’s no doubt that these stances will make Cori a top target of GOP dark money and far-right media attacks this year.
Which is why it’s absolutely critical we work together to meet this $15,000 goal, so that our team has the resources to build our organizing programs, fund voter outreach efforts, and push back against attack ads.
Whether you can give $100, $50, or $7 — every little bit helps. Cori’s leadership has already sent shockwaves through Congress and we can’t afford to slow down now. Please chip in to help us reach our goal by midnight tomorrow so we can continue powering Cori’s work for transformative, people-first policies.
Together,
Aarica
